Submission Terms

These terms explain the conditions under which contributions (text, photos, coordinates, or other materials) can be submitted to Lapidaret. By submitting a memorial or related content, you agree to the following:

1. Who Can Submit

Anyone may submit information or materials to Lapidaret. No account is required, and anonymous submissions are accepted.

2. What You Can Submit

We only accept:

  • original text and photos you created, or
  • content you have permission to share.

We cannot accept:

  • offensive or inappropriate text,
  • photos containing watermarks,
  • AI-generated images.

3. Rights and Licensing

By submitting content, you agree that:

  • You grant Lapidaret the right to display your contribution on the site, include it in open datasets, and share it for research or documentation purposes.
  • This license is non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide, and perpetual.
  • Contributions will be made available under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 (CC BY 4.0) license.
  • If you provide your name, it will be shown publicly alongside your contribution. If you wish to remain anonymous, simply leave the name field blank.

4. Review and Moderation

  • All submissions are reviewed before publication.
  • We may edit, modify, or reject submissions at our discretion and are not required to provide a reason.

5. Accuracy and Responsibility

  • You confirm that your submission is accurate to the best of your knowledge.
  • You agree that you have the rights needed to share the material.
  • Lapidaret is not responsible for legal issues related to user submissions, including copyright disputes or questions of accuracy.

6. Removal of Submissions

  • You may request removal of your submission at any time, provided you can verify that it was yours (for example, by using the same email you provided during submission).
  • Lapidaret reserves the right to remove any submission at any time, without explanation.
