Licensing Terms

These terms explain how the content published on Lapidaret may be reused.

1. User Submissions

All accepted submissions (photos, text, coordinates, or other material contributed by users) are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0).

This means you are free to:

  • Share — copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format,
  • Adapt — remix, transform, and build upon the material,
  • for any purpose, even commercially.

Under the following conditions:

  • Attribution — You must give appropriate credit.
    • If a contributor’s name is displayed, reuse should include a credit such as:
      “By [Author] via Lapidaret”.
    • If no contributor name is shown, simply credit “Lapidaret”.
    • A link back to lapidaret.edihamiti.fr is appreciated but not required.

2. External Sources

Some memorials displayed on Lapidaret are marked as sourced from the AMMKM (Agjencia për Menaxhimin e Memorjaleve të Kosovës).
In those cases, the first image associated with the memorial follows the licensing terms of the AMMKM.
All other materials, including any additional images or user-contributed information, remain subject to the CC BY 4.0 license described above.

3. Site Content

Unless otherwise stated, the site’s own text, design, and database structure are the property of Lapidaret and may not be reused without permission.

4. Limitations

  • Accuracy: Content on Lapidaret is provided “as is”. While every effort is made to ensure accuracy, no guarantees are given about completeness or reliability.
  • Third-Party Rights: You are responsible for ensuring that your reuse of the content does not violate applicable laws or third-party rights.
